What this does
The Settings page lets you update the core details for your organisation — business information, bank details for remittances, card payment provider, accountant access, expense and purchase order approval workflows, and period locks.
When to use it
Update your settings when you first set up Relentify, when your company details change, or when you need to configure approval workflows or restrict posting into closed periods.
Step by step
Business Details
- Go to Settings (via the account menu in the top bar)
- Select the Business Details tab
- Update your Full Name and Business Name
- Choose your Business Structure — Sole Trader or Limited Company; if you choose Limited Company, enter your Company Number (required for KYC compliance)
- Tick VAT Registered if applicable and enter your VAT Number in the format GB123456789
- Enter your Registered Address — this appears on invoices and remittance advices
- Under Bank Details for Remittances, enter your Account Name, Sort Code, and Account Number
- Tick Accept card payments on invoices to include a Stripe payment link on every invoice you send (requires Stripe to be connected — see Payment Provider below)
- Tick Automatic payment reminders to send reminders 3 days before, on, and 7 days after each invoice due date
- Click Save Business Details
Account Settings
- Select the Account Settings tab
- Your email address is displayed but cannot be changed here — contact support to update it
- To change your password, enter your Current Password, your New Password (minimum 8 characters), and Confirm New Password, then click Change Password
- To export all your data as a CSV, click Download CSV Export
- To permanently delete your account, click Delete My Account and confirm with your password
Payment Provider
- Select the Payment Provider tab
- If Stripe is not yet connected, click Connect Stripe → — you will be redirected to Stripe to authorise the connection
- Once connected, your Stripe account ID is shown with a green indicator
- Card payment links appear on invoices you send when Accept card payments on invoices is enabled in Business Details
Accountant access
The Accountant tab lets you invite your accountant for read-only access. See How to give your accountant access for full instructions.
