EPC Tracking and Expiry Alerts

Monitor Energy Performance Certificate ratings and expiry dates.

What this does

EPC tracking stores each property's Energy Performance Certificate rating and expiry date, and alerts you before certificates expire.

When to use it

Record EPC details when adding a property. The system alerts you automatically when renewal is due.

Step by step

  1. Open the property record
  2. Find the EPC section
  3. Enter:
    • EPC Rating — A to G
    • Expiry Date — when the certificate expires
    • Certificate Number — for reference
  4. Click Save

Alerts

  • You receive a notification 90 days before an EPC expires
  • Expired EPCs are highlighted in red on the property record
  • The properties list can be filtered to show expiring EPCs

Tips

  • EPCs are valid for 10 years
  • Properties cannot be legally marketed without a valid EPC
  • A rating of E or above is required for rental properties (MEES regulations)
  • Update the EPC details whenever a new certificate is obtained
