How to Create a Quote

Send a price estimate to a customer before converting it to an invoice.

What this does

A quote is a non-binding price estimate. Once accepted, you can convert it to an invoice with one click.

When to use it

Use quotes when a customer asks for pricing before committing to a purchase.

Step by step

  1. Go to Quotes in the Sales menu
  2. Click New Quote
  3. Select or type the customer name
  4. Add line items with descriptions, quantities, and unit prices
  5. Set a Valid Until date
  6. Click Send to email the quote, or Save to keep it as a draft
