Customising Widget Appearance

Change the chat widget's colours, greeting, and position.

What this does

Widget customisation lets you match the chat bubble and window to your brand colours, set a welcome greeting, and position it on screen.

When to use it

Customise the widget after installing it so it fits your website's design.

Step by step

  1. Go to Chat > Settings > Widget
  2. Configure appearance:
    • Brand Colour — the widget's accent colour
    • Position — bottom-left or bottom-right
    • Welcome Message — the first message visitors see when they open chat
    • Offline Message — what to show when no agents are available
    • Avatar — your team's profile photo or logo
  3. Preview the changes in real time
  4. Click Save

  • Use your brand's primary colour for a seamless look
  • Keep the welcome message short and friendly
  • Set an offline message to collect the visitor's email so you can follow up
  • The widget adapts to mobile screen sizes automatically
