What this does
The chat inbox shows all active and recent conversations with website visitors. You can reply, assign conversations, and mark them as resolved.
When to use it
Check the inbox whenever you receive a new conversation notification, or regularly throughout the day.
Step by step
- Go to Chat > Inbox
- Active conversations appear on the left
- Click a conversation to view the full thread
- Type your reply in the message box and press Enter
- To resolve: click the Resolve button
- To reopen: click Reopen on a resolved conversation
- To assign: click Assign and select a team member
Tips
- Unassigned conversations are visible to your whole team
- Use canned responses for common questions to save time
- Attach files (images and PDFs) using the attachment button
- Resolved conversations are archived but searchable
