Recording Placements

Record a successful placement with fee details.

What this does

A placement records a successful match — a candidate who has accepted a position at a client company. It tracks the fee earned and start date.

When to use it

Record a placement when a candidate accepts an offer and has a confirmed start date.

Step by step

  1. Open the candidate's record from the pipeline
  2. Move them to the Placed stage
  3. Click Record Placement
  4. Fill in:
    • Job Posting — which role was filled
    • Start Date — when the candidate begins
    • Salary — the agreed salary
    • Fee Type — percentage of salary or fixed fee
    • Fee Amount — the placement fee
  5. Click Save

  • Placement fees appear in your recruitment reports and revenue tracking
  • Link placements to invoices via the Accounting add-on
  • Track placement start dates to manage onboarding check-ins
  • Guarantee periods can be noted on the placement record
