What this does
Logs a phone call as an activity on a contact or deal record. This creates a timestamped entry in the activity timeline.
When to use it
Log a call after every phone conversation to keep a record of what was discussed.
Step by step
- Open the contact or deal record
- Click the Log Activity button
- Select Call as the activity type
- Fill in the details:
- Subject — brief summary (e.g. "Follow-up on proposal")
- Notes — key points discussed
- Duration — length of the call
- Outcome — Connected, Voicemail, No Answer
- Click Save
Tips
- Log calls immediately after they happen so you don't forget details
- Activities logged on a contact also appear on linked deals
- Use the Cmd+K command palette to quickly log an activity from anywhere
