How Recipients Sign Documents

What the signing experience looks like for recipients.

What this does

When a recipient receives a signing request, they click a link to view and sign the document in their browser. No account or software is needed.

The signing experience

  1. Recipient receives an email with a Review & Sign button
  2. They verify their identity with a one-time code sent to their email
  3. The document opens in the browser with highlighted fields
  4. They click each field to:
    • Sign — draw, type, or upload their signature
    • Initial — add their initials
    • Date — confirm the date
    • Text — fill in any required text fields
  5. Once all fields are completed, they click Finish Signing
  6. They receive a copy of the signed document by email

Tips

  • Signing works on all devices without installing anything
  • The one-time code ensures only the intended recipient can sign
