Document Templates

Create reusable templates for documents you send frequently.

What this does

Templates save you time by pre-configuring documents with signature fields and merge fields. You reuse them for each new signing request.

When to use it

Create a template for any document you send repeatedly — tenancy agreements, employment contracts, NDAs, or service agreements.

Built-in templates

  • Tenancy Agreement (AST) — Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement
  • Guarantor Form — guarantor agreement for tenancies
  • Section 21 Notice — notice seeking possession
  • NDA — non-disclosure agreement
  • Service Agreement — general service contract
  • Employment Contract — standard employment terms

Step by step

  1. Go to E-Sign > Templates
  2. Click + New Template or use a built-in template
  3. Upload your PDF
  4. Place signature, date, and text fields
  5. Add merge fields for variable data (e.g. tenant name, address, rent amount)
  6. Click Save

Using templates

  1. Create a new signing request
  2. Select a template instead of uploading a document
  3. Fill in the merge field values
  4. Add recipients and send

Tips

  • Templates with merge fields are auto-populated when you create a request
  • Update templates without affecting previously sent requests
