What this does
Sharing sends a PDF version of the inventory report to landlords and tenants by email. Recipients can review and agree to the reported conditions.
When to use it
Share check-in reports at the start of a tenancy so both parties have a record. Share check-out reports for deposit assessment purposes.
Step by step
- Open a completed inventory report
- Click Share
- Select recipients:
- Tenant — the tenant's email from the tenancy record
- Landlord — the landlord's email from the property record
- Custom — enter any other email address
- Add an optional message
- Click Send
- Recipients receive a PDF of the report by email
Tips
- Shared reports include all photos, conditions, and notes
- Ask tenants to confirm agreement with the check-in report within 7 days
- Keep a record of when reports were shared for dispute resolution
- PDFs are generated with your company branding
