What this does
Fetches the latest transactions from your connected bank accounts and lets you categorise or match each one. Matched transactions link your bank activity to the correct invoices, bills, or expense records in Relentify, keeping your books accurate.
When to use it
Sync your transactions regularly — ideally daily or at least weekly — to stay on top of your bookkeeping. You will also want to sync before reconciling your accounts.
Step by step
- Go to Banking from the main navigation
- Select the bank account you want to sync
- Click Sync Transactions to pull the latest data from your bank
- New transactions will appear in the list, marked as uncategorised
- For each transaction, Relentify may suggest a match to an existing invoice, bill, or expense
- If the suggestion is correct, click to confirm the match
- If no match is suggested, select the correct account category from the dropdown to categorise the transaction manually
- Repeat until all new transactions are categorised or matched
- Categorised transactions will now appear in your reports and be ready for reconciliation
