Managing No-Shows

Track missed appointments and set up deposits to reduce no-shows.

What this does

No-show tracking records when clients miss appointments without cancelling. Combined with deposits, it reduces lost revenue from empty time slots.

When to use it

Enable no-show tracking for all appointments. Consider requiring deposits for new clients or repeat offenders.

Step by step

  1. When a client misses an appointment, open the booking and click Mark as No-Show
  2. The no-show is recorded on the client's contact record
  3. To enable deposits:
    • Go to Settings > Booking
    • Enable Require Deposit
    • Set the deposit amount (percentage or fixed)
    • Choose when deposits apply (all bookings, new clients only, or flagged clients)
  4. Click Save

Tips

  • Send automatic appointment reminders to reduce no-shows
  • Clients with multiple no-shows are flagged on their record
  • You can set a policy to require deposits after a certain number of no-shows
  • Deposits are collected via Stripe at booking time
