Building a Lead Capture Form

Create a web form that captures leads directly into your CRM.

What this does

A lead capture form collects contact details from your website visitors and creates contacts in your CRM automatically.

When to use it

Embed forms on your website, landing pages, or share them as standalone links to capture enquiries.

Step by step

  1. Go to Marketing > Forms in the main menu
  2. Click + New Form
  3. Add fields by dragging them onto the form builder:
    • Name and Email are included by default
    • Add Phone, Company, Message, or custom fields as needed
  4. Configure form settings:
    • Thank you message — what the visitor sees after submitting
    • Redirect URL — optional page to redirect to
    • Contact Type — the type assigned to new contacts (default: Lead)
    • Lead Source — automatically tagged on the contact
  5. Click Save
  6. Copy the embed code or shareable link

Tips

  • Keep forms short — name and email is enough for most lead capture
  • Add a hidden lead source field to track which page generated the lead
  • Form submissions can trigger automation rules (e.g. start an email sequence)
