Creating an Email Sequence

Set up an automated drip campaign to nurture leads over time.

What this does

An email sequence automatically sends a series of emails to contacts at timed intervals. This nurtures leads without manual follow-up.

When to use it

Use sequences for lead nurturing, onboarding new customers, or re-engaging cold contacts.

Step by step

  1. Go to Marketing > Sequences in the main menu
  2. Click + New Sequence
  3. Name your sequence (e.g. "New Lead Nurture")
  4. Add steps:
    • Click + Add Step
    • Select an email template or write a new email
    • Set the Delay (e.g. 2 days after previous step)
  5. Configure exit conditions:
    • Stop if contact replies
    • Stop if deal is won
  6. Click Save
  7. Add contacts to the sequence manually or via automation rules

Tips

  • Keep sequences to 3–5 emails — more than that and engagement drops
  • Personalise each email with merge fields (contact name, company)
  • Monitor open and click rates to improve your sequence over time
