Managing Lead Sources

Track where your leads come from by managing lead sources.

What this does

Lead sources track how contacts and deals find you — whether through your website, referrals, ads, or events.

When to use it

Set up lead sources before you start adding contacts so every lead is tagged from the start.

Step by step

  1. Go to Settings in the main menu
  2. Open the Lead Sources tab
  3. Click + Add Source
  4. Enter the source name (e.g. "Google Ads", "Referral", "Website Form")
  5. Click Save
  6. Lead sources are now available as a dropdown when creating contacts and deals

Tips

  • Be specific — "Google Ads" is more useful than "Online"
  • Review lead source reports to see which channels generate the most revenue
  • Form submissions can auto-tag the lead source if configured
  • You can deactivate sources you no longer use without deleting historical data
